Biomedical Data Science: A New Discipline

We have Data Science, we have Bioinformatics, and a new discipline has emerged in recent years - that of "Biomedical Data Science". There are (at least) two departments that offer a biomedical data science major in its own right: 1) Stanford DBDS and 2) Dartmouth BMDS

Back to blogging after a long hiatus ! Truly exciting first few weeks in my new position with the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, including a first hand understanding of so many places that data science can make an impact in various facets of cancer investigation and research !
